State Troopers often get confused as a traffic officer only, however this is not the case. A state trooper is primarily involved in traffic related offences, however not limited to this activity as the whole of the outer-city is their responsiblity. Due to them being in the outer-city it means that backup and response time is going to be greater than say a traffic officer in the city; because of this, it means they are required to have many different skills including the use of a weapon, advanced driving, as well as driving 'in the dark' (Not have access to Dispatch communications due to their location).

State Troopers are not however limited to the outer-city as if in a chase, they are there to lend their expertise and so they sometimes may end up helping out in the city, temporarily.
